Helle: Has a strong passion for photography. During her 7 months in Zimbabwe she has been capturing life moments that show the many sides of Zimbabwe. She has a Bachelor's Degree in International Development Studies, Technological and Socio-Economic Planning and is currently taking her masters in these subjects. Helle has taken several courses in Photography and during her long stays and travels in large parts of Sub Saharan Africa she has used the camera to capture stories and problems which can be hard to understand for others.

She gets her inspiration from a deep love for nature and what happens in her surroundings. She experiments with different angles and shooting techniques in her quest to bring out the best images. In this photographic exposition, she brings to Denmark, a Zimbabwean story, told through the camera.

""When I came to Zimbabwe I realised that there were so much more to tell about this beautiful country than the stories the media was selling. I wanted to share these strengths that I saw, but also let the world know about the difficult realities people were living within. I and Resta meet through the camera – we had our dynamic views of the situation and we wanted to share what we saw through the camera.

It will take time to heal the wounds in Zimbabwe, the scares will always be there as a lesson, but I know that one day the old jewel - Zimbabwe - will shine again!" Helle
